The Grove Vs Flamingo Ceremony

Only 95 more days until we get married and i have yet to decide on the ceremony site.  I want an outside ceremony.  My question is at the Flamingo the outside garden pictures look very plain.  I would rather not spend a ton of money on flowers for the ceremony site.  Does anyone have experience with either of these places that they would offer any advice/suggestions?

I think Sara19... Just did a scoutinng trip there and said the Flamingo grounds/ponds had an 'odor' to  them.   But then again plenty of other reviews had brides that had used the Flamingo and were very hapy.

Have you seen the gazebo at the Flamingo in person?  I saw it as they were starting to set up for a wedding and it looked really pretty, nothing was added to it yet.  Maybe you can have some rose petals sprinkled down the aisle?

PS--I personally don't remember an odor, but I was there back in October.

I was there in November and didn't smell anything. I'm a little nervous, but I'm sticking with the gazebo chapel! I think it is SO CUTE. I won't be adding any decoration, and I'm confident our pictures will be pretty.

I am not familiar with the Grove though, so I can't speak to the difference.

I was there in July (when it was 105 degrees out) and the only odor I smelled was when I really got close to the bird pens.

Because the gazebo is right by the pool, you're more likely to smell chlorine then anything else. Also? The gazebo is SUPER private and closed off so you can't see anything but it. That's why I really liked it. No chance for a stray tourist to photobomb me! Haha.

    Hope that helps!

I remember seeing a wedding there that had candles (they got married towards the evening) that lined up the aisle way. This was few years ago I like to stroll around outside and see the fish and birds. Yeah no smell unless your taking huge whiffs around the habitats of the fish and birds.

I would go with The Grove because it would be more private. I saw a wedding at Flamingo and there were a lot of people around who weren't part of the wedding.

I had not looked at the Flamingo, but now I am second guessing my choice! the videos online look really pretty and the price is great.

I actually scouted those two places out back in October. Well I tried, I never managed to get to the grove. Its about an hour away from the strip, and about a $50 taxi ride. If the distance is ok with you, and guests, it does look every pretty in pictures. Since location was better for us we decided on the Flamingo. The Flamingo can be semi private if you pick the gazebo. It's kind of towards the back away from the main area so not too many people just standing around. The other areas are pretty open and more of a common area.

I'm getting married May 15th, and I booked the Grove. I visited out there earlier this month, and I just loved it. It took about 25-30 minutes to get there from the Strip.

I'm really happy to hear you liked the Grove. We have booked it for October but of course as soon as we sent in the deposit I started second guessing myself. We live in Oregon so I can't really afford to go down and look at it. I think it should turn out okay though.
