so i have been thinking about replacing flowers with parasols....but not sure that is a cool idea. i know they are fun but are they too cheesy for a beach ceremony?

I love the idea of parasols but have a backup plan in case it's too windy.  Like having them held in front of you closed or something.

I think it would be really cute and unique. If we were having an outdoor ceremony I would probably do that because I have a mini obsession with them. I agree that they could be a pain in windy conditions though :-/

On a side note...when we first got engaged we briefly considered a beach ceremony. I saw a really cute starfish bout. This isn't the one I saw but I can't find that one and it's the same idea.

I think you can do both...although having them as the sole carrying piece would be very cute. I do agree with PP though about a back-up wind plan.

I'm having flowers for the ceremony (although my ceremony is in a church) and then the girls will get parasols for the pictures in the garden.

I don't think they're cheesy at all for a beach wedding. A beach wedding might be the only kind of wedding where they wouldn't be cheesy. It sounds really cute!

I think that sounds like a great idea!  Very unique and very pretty in pictures!  Everyone uses flowers, be different and go for it if that's what you want!  GL!

I love this idea too.  I think it'd be great to have a parasol open on a sunny day.  I hate when it's bright and I feel like i have to squint or do the hand-over-the-eyes-salute-for-shade thing, sunglasses aren't really wedding attire.  Great idea!
