Planning Timeline

I'm getting married next May and I was wondering is it too early to start booking vendors?

I booked some of my vendors over a year out but that was because I had my heart set on particular vendors and I wanted to make sure that I got them for my date. That said the original time I wanted for my ceremony was booked out over a year in advance so I had to change.

    Popular vendors do book out!

<div>Agreed-- do it now, if they'll book this early.  I'm getting married next May too and two of my desired ceremony times at Mandalay Bay were already taken!  I nailed them down, but had to settle for a 3pm slot.  I also booked Todd of Bentley & Wilson already because I didn't want to miss out on him.</div>

I agree! I booked Todd about a year out and in the last few months I saw someone post that they tried to book him and he was booked... and I am getting married on a Tuesday! Book the vendors you want now!!

I booked mine almost 18 months out, but i'm heading for a tour overseas with the military and wont be back until the fall and didn't want to chance not getting our locations we wanted. No one I booked with thought it was too soon either. They were more than happy to book so soon. Just keep in mind that you usually have to put non refundable deposits down, so be sure you are sure about where you pick.  Happy Planning!

Thank you ladies! I was really unsure about whether or not I shoud start contacting vendors yet. I didn't want them looking at my cross-eyed when I told them my date lol. I'll get right on it!
