Planning frustrations!! Ceasar's wedding packages..

Everything has been going dandy with my Venus Garden Julyy 2011 plannIng... Until this week. I emailed my WC to ask about prices of bouquets and details of the $200 floral allowance in my package. Well- maybe I've been living in a box my whole life but I was shocked to hear that for my bridal bouquet alone it would cost AT LEAST $150... nevermind the addtl 3 BM bouquets, 7 bouts, and 5 corsages. Well, I remember when I booked my wedding back almost a year ago, the woman that set it up said that things that are a "flat" rate allowance (ie my food and Bev of $200 and floral of $200) could be transferrable. Anyway I just received an email back from my WC that said I couldn't even transfer the floral allowance to my food and bev allowance! (and of course the run around that "unless I have it in writing it's not gonna happen") I mean c'mon- at least if they did that they can rest assure the money is still spent in their hotel!! Arg- anyway, I'm a tad frustrated and it's totally ruined my planning mood. Has anyone gone through this or been able to transfer/substitute in the past at CP? I feel like I've seen it somewhere here on the board. Thanks ladies!

sounds like we have the same package (cleopatra?). We wont be using the limo in our package and I asked if I could use that towards an increase on floral but I was told its a use or lose kinda thing. I was also told the bouquet I wanted was $175. Now I used to work at a florist in college so I know better...but its vegas and perhaps flowers are more. We've decided to use silk flowers, a friend of the family is making them for me...and then using our $200 floral credit towards bout, coursages and lots of petals that will also be needed for our reception. I got the ok from Ashley our WC that we can bring in silk flowers...but we cannot bring in real. We are also using our F&B credit towards our rehersal dinner at Cafe Lago.

My suggestion is maybe checking on etsy.com....see if you find some silk flowers you like...maybe even just for the BMs...then get yours through Caesars. A friend of mine got hers on there for her Vegas wedding and they are goregous! HTH : )

ohh forgot to add...I think alot of things changed the first of the year...ie..no outsie photags, prices, and such...this is probably one of those things that changed...and unless it was in your original contract that you were going to transfer, they wont allow it. Like, weve had our contract since last April/May but Im sure if I asked to pay the outside vendor fee for a photag...they wouldnt allow it.

Yea I'm considering just using the allowance towards the bouts abs corsages and then just making or ordering my own bouquets. Ill check out etsy for sure- thanks for the info :) until then I'm going to search through my emails to see if I find any evidence of what I was told- I'll be lucky if I do but I highly doubt I will!

Their prices are outrageous.  I ended up using my credit for my bouquet and a bout for my dad.  We got my DH and his groomsmen pocket squares instead of a bout, and bought my girls satin clutches instead of bouquets to hold during the ceremony.

I would recommend searching etsy for fake bouquets.  Rach did that and her bouquet was gorgeous.

Unfortunately I think it's common practice for the casino hotels to inflate their cost of flowers.  We had the Cleopatra pkg and used the floral credit toward my bouquet and H's bout.  Our moms carried artificial flowers and we used silk rose petals for the aisle.  The WC ended up forgetting H's bout!

I am using an outside floral vendor, and I am confident it will still be less than going trhough Caesars, and even not at least it will be better quality.  IMO paying the $200 outisde vendor fee for a florist may be well worth It.  Ebony is not the first bride I have heard mentioned that Caesars 'forgot' a bout or arrangement.

And as PP said my contract states the floral/food credits are non-transferable, so I would not waste time or energy on fighting them on that point.  I would just look for an outside florist (highly recommend Pam from the Palette- she is doing ALL our flowers for under $500 and we have a huge order) or artificial "real touch" bouquets.

Wow, I haven't even inquired about the bouquet, but now I'm scared to send in a picture.  I'm using pomander balls as the BM's bouquets, so I'm good there.

I am a Venetian bride, but tried to do the same cause my friend is a flourist and giving me flowers.  So we are getting my bouquet (+$20 for some extra) and his bout which is included in our package.  I will have flowers for MOH, BM, parents made by friend.  Since the ceremony only includes the bride and groom (on gondola) I don't think they can complain about other flowers.  I don't think they can ask people in the casino to remove flowers from their clothes!  Who knows.  They can be really difficult.  Like when I opted not to pay for their photographer and said I would look into other options, as if I somehow was not allowed to take pictures after the event was over however I like.  Grrrr, makes me mad thinking about it too, so I feel you!
