Nevada-Las Vegas

When to book

We are having our wedding at the Wynn on October 21, 2012 and would like to stay at the hotel as well. I just checked room rates and it comes up to be $1800 for 4 nights - way too expensive. We usually travel to Vegas in December and get pretty good rates (under $100/night at the Wynn).  I will obviously wait and see if room rates are going to drop, but is this normal for October? Or are rates so high because its so far out? When did you book your  hotel?

Wynn brides - did you ask your consultant to book your room and did you get a better deal that way?

Thanks :)

Re: When to book

  • I don't know if it's normal for October but it sounds about right, we spent more than that for three nights. Your WC should give you a special bride and groom rate, although I'm not sure that covers the entire stay, I think I remember it being for the first night only. The best rate I've come across was the one I forwarded to all our guests before the wedding, it was $119-139/night, almost everyone ended up booking through that. I've never seen anything below $100 at the Wynn, I should go in December more often :)

For ourselves I booked a parlor suite for one night and a salon suite for two nights 5 months out, then communicated the details to the WC, who gave us a little discount on the rate. (In the end we were upgraded so we stayed in the Salon Suite the whole time) Try asking her what kind of discount she can give you and see what it comes up to.
  • Thanks wiwi! I wouldnt mind paying that much for a suite, but not for just a regular room. We stood there this past December and paid a little under $1,000 for both of our flights and 4 night stay.
$119-$139 sounds pretty good. Please keep me in mind if you come across something like that again :)

<div>I will! I didn't think you were talking about a regular room... yes that would be way too expensive. </div>
  • Fall sale prices normally start in June.  I usually recommended waiting on rates 4-5 months out. You can always call your consultant and see if the have a bridal special.

I know Vegas.com has 25% off in October but hopefully your WC can do better than that
