For anyone who did DD bus to Freemont

I'm considering getting a Double Decker Bus to drive us from MGM to Freemont and back after our welcome dinner.  I'm wondering if 2 hours is enough time for the drive and to get out and walk around Freemont for a while?

No. Depending on the time of day it could take <em>at least</em> a half hour just getting there and back. I would want several hours just to explore Fremont Street (one E).

They told us that our strip tour (Flamingo to Las Vegas sign, sign to maybe a couple stops on the strip, to Fremont to see the light show and back to Flamingo) to allocate 3 hours...
We aren't getting off the bus for anything other than fun snapshot pictures (not exploring).

Will it be on a week day or weekend? Day or night? 

The strip on the weekend in the evening has terrible traffic. It can take 30 minutes just to get to Freemont from the strip when the traffic is bad. FI and I went to dinner on Freemont on a Saturday night and it took us 30 minutes to get back to city center b/c traffic was so bad. I think 2 hours might be cutting it short if you want to get out and walk around Freemont.

Plus if it's not timed correctly, you need to wait for the show to come on.
