In suite Catering

So, we have JUST decided to start looking into doing an in-suite reception.  We're staying at the Flamingo.

Any suggestions on which catering to look into?  I've kinda ignored posts about the in-suite receptions because we weren't going to do one.  Well, now things have changed.

So any advice on who to go with and such would be appreciated.  And costs.  We're looking at doing appetizer type foods.

TIA!

Pretty much everyone here does masterpiece cuisine. Scott is really nice and detailed. They always get rave reviews about the amount of food and the quality. We decided against the in-suite because of all of the people we are having, but if we were to go in that direction we would have used masterpiece. Their prices are very reasonable. They also bring it up to your room and set it up, and they have bar options also if you are interested.

We haven't booked yet but I think we are going with Jason's Deli.  I have heard good things about them and they are VERY well priced and offer a great variety of hot/cold items.  We are doing our own bar options, so that saves a lot of cost for us vs. using a bar service.  I did check out Masterpiece Cuisine and they have a great selection and Scott is very attenttive/nice... just more expensive then we wanted to pay!

    Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.  I remember seeing that lot's of Brides have used Masterpiece. I will have to contact both Masterpiece and Jason's Deli.

Does anyone have a rough idea of the costs?  We will be having about 50 people.

We had MP Cuisine and with the open bar for two hours it was approx $21/person.

The proposal from Jason's Deli (with delivery/set-up) would be less then $10 a person... think once we finalize it maybe closer to $8 or $9 depending on our final food selections.  We would purchase our own alcohol (beer, wine, a few hard liquors) and non-alcoholic beverages... so with alcohol and catering... probably around $13 per person.

Our package with MC including apps, beer, wine, and soda worked out to $30/person.  We got food from Fazoli's for the RD, that was closer to $5/person.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
