Hey! Newbie plus a few questions about an in-suite reception

Hello ladies!

I've been lurking around for the past couple weeks, and have finally decided to post for the first time. My fiancee and I are planning on getting married at the Cosmopolitan, and we were just planning on getting the wraparound suite for 2 nights and having our ceremony & reception inside it. We were going to hire a company that would do the ceremony in our suite, as well as we would bring our own food and alcohol. I emailed the lady at the Cosmopolitan and she told me that they would provide the minister, photographer, flowers, etc for a much heftier price then what I had expected. I would rather not go with the Cosmopolitans ceremony package, and just bring in my own minister as well as my own food and alcohol. Does anyone know if that can be done? Or do I have to go with the Cosmopolitan wedding package if I want to get married inside their suite?

Any help is appreciated, thank you so much!!

Bringing in your own minister shouldn't be a problem.  You don't have to choose one of their wedding packages.

    Thank you so much!

So then, and this might be an idiot question so I apologize, I can just book the suite and not even tell them it's for a wedding? Or should I let them know when we check in?

You probably don't need to mention it.

We had DH's uncle ordained (check with the county, there's a lot of paperwork involved in getting someone approved) and he performed the ceremony in our suite.  We told MB that it was for a wedding because we wanted a better view and the earliest check-in possible.  I don't know if the Cosmopolitan would be okay with it, though.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

How many guests are you expecting?  Have you seen the suite in person?

I am having my reception at The Cosmopolitan in the terrace wraparound suite in April.  I'm pretty sure they would be fine with brining in your own minister.

We're planning on having about 20 guests and bringing in all our own food and alcohol for the insuite reception.  When I told them we were booking for a wedding reception, they were really nice about it and said they could supply extra chairs if needed.
I never personally toured the suite, but have heard only positive reviews, so i'm very excited!

I don't think its a problem, they make a lot more money off alcohol than they do a minister. So if they let you bring in alcohol, they will let you bring in a minister. There are a lot of ministers for hire in Vegas that will come any where so it should not be a problem.

We are not doing an insuite or a package at our location. We are using this man:

He will marry you in a helicopter if that's your thing ;)
