In-Suite Bartender--Glass Rental Advice Needed

We've hired an Absolute bartender for our in-suite reception and I'm wondering what type of glass rental I need. We are expecting 40-45 guests. I was thinking the following..Any advice?

8 boxes of champagne flutes (6/box) = 48 champagne flutes
8 boxes of wine glasses (6/box) = 48 wine glasses
100 high ball glasses
We'll have coolers of beer so they are already bottled.

Do people just re-use their glasses over and over? What about washing them? Why is this so hard for me to figure out? LOL

  • I think that sounds fine between the high ball glasses and wine glasses.  Just tell the bartender to dump the ice and re-fill existing glasses unless the guest asks otherwise, or I guess if the drink changes dramatically like jack and coke to margarita, etc. lol.

  • Thanks, Stewy! That's always the goal! Haha! Whenever I hear the word "ball" my mind goes straight in the gutter. LMFAO!
  • LOL, high ball glasses are like what you'd be served a double in, kind of tall skinny glass which you can use for singles, doubles or mixed drinks that have more non-booze content.
