Day old cupcakes - WHAT???!!!

OK, so I just got a message from the bakery doing my cupcakes & said that they're not open on Sunday so our cake & cupcakes will be deilivered the night before!!  WHAT??!! NOW you're telling me this??!!  Do I REALLY want to serve my guests cupcakes that have been sitting all night (delivered by 530pm Sat - not served till after 8pm Sun)  OMG - I think I'm going to cry!!

Does anyone have another bakery they can recommend?

What bakery are you using? That is horrible, and I wouldn't want to serve them!

How nice of them to let you know that now!  I wouldn't want to use them either plus, I'm sure they wouldn't bake them the day of the wedding even if they were open on Sunday.  So, that probably means you'd be getting at least 2day old cupcakes!  Who needs the extra stress of making sure nothing happens to your cake too!

I know that it doesn't sound ideal, but most bakeries bake their goods a couple days in advance to handle the amount of orders they receive.  Some larger weddings I have been to, the cake was make almost a week in advance due to the complexity of the design and it tasted just fine.
Obviously if you can get fresh that would be best.

I agree with what your are saying but.....They have proper refrigeration for the cakes, how is she going to do that? That's why I would not be happy.

AWWWW - thanks ladies for letting me vent.  My problem was having a restaurant store them for over a day (which I'm sure something would have happened) & the fact that the cupcakes are "exposed" where the cake is sealed in icing.

Anywho - I've got a couple of other options on the go - The Cupcakery & Gimme Some Sugar & just comes down to how much we want to spend.

You're okay using the baker you have.  I won't be posting their name till I do my reviews - sorry
