Anyone use the Bartender service Masterpiece recommends yet?

Scott recommended Culinary Pros, and it's $125 for 5 hours (which is their minimum). They are cheaper than Absolute, so wondering if anyone has used them yet, and if so, how it went?

I am using Masterpiece. Any reason you are not using them?

Hi Erin - Well a couple reasons, first it's approximately $5 cheaper per person for us to get the alcohol ourselves and hire the bartender. But the other big reason is the quote Masterpiece gave me, the bartender and alcohol are only there for 2 hrs. I know our guests will be drinking more than 2 hrs worth and will be there longer than 2 hrs. The other thing is for beer and wine in the package, the estimated amount per person is 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine each I think he said, which I also didn't like as our friends can drink a decent amount of beer and wine. He said they could adjust the package, but it would probably cost more etc.

So those are our main reasons. I'm sure just doing it through Masterpiece would be more convenient though for sure. I also liked that we can return any unused bottles to the liquor store for a refund.

Let me know if any other questions!

Huh... that is intersting to me because I was under the impression that there would be more a supply than 2 beers/ 2 glasses of wine from MP... I booked with them for 2 hours but will most likely be adding an extra hour than doing a 2 hour strip tour on the DD bus. Scott told me an extra hour would be $5/pp extra. I think I will need to get in touch with him because 4 drinks in 2 hours will not be enough for our guests! We did book the package with them that includes a vodka, rum, etc, just no shots. I will need to double check on the number per guest though. Thanks for the info!

Hi Erin - Well It was included with all the other types of alcohol too, I had just asked specifically about how many beers/glasses of wine that ends up being per person.  If your guests drink a variety of alcohol though, ie some only drink vodka, others only drink gin, some just beer etc., it may even out...

    If that makes sense...

True.... ugh. I thought this was one thing I was okay on. But I am glad you brought it up. Nothing worse than running out of booze! :)
