Scouting Trip: Plan of Attack

Hey Knotties-
My wonderful future husband has surprised me with a trip to Vegas for my b day! Of course we'll do some scouting, but we'll also have a little fun Our objectives are to meet with the potential day of wedding cooridator, do some cake tasting and check out the Vista and Valley of the Falls ( I've seen both, but he hasn't).

Also, we'll scope out wedding photos we want. My question is- we'll be there from Friday night to Monday midday.  Will a car be needed, or is a cab sufficient? Also, any new restarurants we should try? I'd like to have list of recs for out info card for guests, etc. Anything esle? Also, any questions I can help get answered while I'm there for snyone??

Where are you staying?  And where's your cake place located?  If they're far off the strip, it might help to rent a car one of those days (I know there's a rental car pickup place in the Mirage, as well as a few other hotels) so you can tool around a bit without relying on cabs to come pick you up.

I would rent a car for sure that day! Cab rides can cost a lo,t especially if you have a longer driv,e such as out to the Valley. Also, the charge will continue to run if they wait and if you don't have them wait, having to call & wait for another cab could make it take all day!
