I love that you're using playing cards!  Question though - are you assigning the actual seats, or just assigning tables?  We just did the escort cards, which told people what table they were sitting at and indicated their food choice.

    Thanks,
My main Paper color is Scarlet Red, and my STD wad a 2 of hearts Card.
Playing cards are pretty cheap, so i hope it looks good.

Yes, I will do the Folded ones as a seat assignment.
I thought it would be nice and i do want people in certain seats...

I'm working on mine right now. For escort cards, I'm using playing cards and making simple name labels to put on the back of them. Since the escort cards will be a mixture of hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs, I made table numbers that have "A, K, Q, J, 10, etc..." in the middle and one of each suit on the 4 corners. Basically, the suit won't matter- just the number on the card/table.

Please don't think I'm trying to be rude with my question, but I'm honestly curious - why does it matter what seat they sit at?

This may not be true of OP, but we had to assign seats because if not we had to add an extra course to allow people to re-order tableside. The venue did not want to do meals by table because people forget what they order and then see something else come out and change their minds. Chaos ensues. So we went with the place cards.

I don't quite understand - each person had a card that indicated what table they sat at and what entree they ordered, but we didn't assign their actual seat at the table - I'm not sure how assigning their actual seats would make a difference in the ordering process?

We just had one long table, but still did assigned seating.  This was to ensure that our Japanese guests that didn't speak English very well would be near us or around other people (non-Japanese guests) that spoke Japanese, instead of the possibility of getting leftover seating and not having anyone to talk to besides themselves. I sat everyone based on personality/relationship beyond that.  It worked out way better than it did at our meet and greet where eveyone just sat themselves.

I don't think this is the same reason OP is doing it, but I just wanted to point out in some circumstances it makes things a ton easier.
