hair/makeup. how long did it take

Hi, just wondering about time length on hair and makeup. I need to be ready by 11am but don't want to wake up that freaking early. Theres only 3 of us doing hair and makeup but was wondering average time length and if any of the artists listed on here bring assistants so the process goes quicker. Thanks

Hair and make-up for my two bridesmaids and I (with Lori White and her assistant) took from 8:30 until 11:30, so 3 hours.

Did you have to pay extra for the assistant?

My wife had Francesca Lombardo and an assistant and for hair and makeup for four BM's, my wife, and hair for mother and grandma, it was about six hours.

I booked with Makeupinvegas.com.. They told me FOR ME ONLY. If i am getting married at 3, they want to be at the hotel by 11am for my hair and makeup.

My wedding is at 4 pm, and the hair/makeup artist is showing up at 11 for three of us.

Nope!  I suppose, in the end, it did cost us a little more because we tipped Lori 20% of the total, and tipped the assistant $50 as well.

Harmony told me to plan 1.5 hours for hair/makeup.  She will be getting to us at noon, then working on two of us.  We need to be out the door by 3pm.

ETA: It also depends on the complexity of your situation.  Do you have waist-length hair and need curls and airbrush and and and... for the most part, it shouldn't vary too much, but sometimes it can go quicker if you're doing a more simple style.
