Fontana Bar in Bellagio closing

I have seen many current and past brides talk about going to the Fontana Bar for a post wedding drink. The official close date is going to be June 1st. I found out today when I called to inquire about hours. They are remodeling the space and turning it into an ultra - lounge.

HTH anyone who may have been planning to go.

That does suck! I don't care for ultra lounges. Fontana Bar was so fun, had dancing, lovely patio and I always took guests there when they came to visit. So sad!

@Regi I am so glad to hear that! Can't wait to check it out!   Another close by lounge is Cleopatra's in Caesars.  Heard that is really good to and I have been by it but never been in.

I thought they turned Cleopatra's into the lounge venue for Matt Goss's show, which by the way is very good. It's late at night and then they turn it into a sort of small dance club. It was fun, I was about 8 months pregnant though. There is a very small bar joined to it and it gets loud during the show. Fonatana Bar is much better for drinks. So is Mix @ Mandalay.

This place is fun! I love it and I have friend that just booked an engagement party there. They have an event menu and she said it is reasonably priced. Yummy martinis and live music and a nice patio! Blue Martini could be an option if you have transportation. Its south LV Blvd @ Town Square.

I have heard good things about both the Mix and Blue Martini! I think we will definitely try one of them (if we stay up late enough on our wedding night hah).  Thanks for the tips!!

I plan on going to the blue martini after our meet and greet since we have moved that to the Yard House @ Town Sq

Oh that soooo sucks!!  We actually considered the space for our reception (might have booked it if Bellagio had returned our calls in a timely manner...).  I have very fond memories of many trips to Vegas and enjoying overpriced but tasty cocktails in a high-end but not pretentious environment. I just hope the new "ultra-lounge" takes a cue from MB's Eyecandy and doesn't jump on the increasingly stupid "table-service" bandwagon.
