Sooooo, as soon as I found out StripBurger would allow me to create my own menu at menu prices (with of course the servicetax, fees etc) I was sold. The set menu isn't outrageous or anything but when you break it down it's not worth 22/pp especially since we're doing cake and won't need the brownie dessert. Anyways, I was working with once person and now I have a new one. She let me know after I mentioned wondering how it will be set up on the patio that there are rooms at El Segundo Sol next door that can accomidate my guests and stripburger food can be served there. WONDERFUL! I have wanted a room and thought the only one was for 32 people and we are inviting more so the plan with first person contact was to wait til march (response date) and if its 32 or less go with the room (assuming it's available).
I jump at the opportuntiy to be in a private room. But her response was 'with that number of people you have to do the set menu'. WAIT. From day one I have said the possibilty of 50 and my own menu was allowed. Even in he smaler 32 person room. If she'd said 'in that room you must choose the set menu' I'd get it. But saying it's the number of people annoys me since it's always been that number. I have to approve my proof for invitations and now she hasn't responded (I just replied with basically what I said up there but nicer
). ARG.
Soooooo, one of the huge reasons I went with Stripburger was the price with sharing apps, a burger and some beers it averaged out to like $17/pp from our own made menu (plus taxes and such). Anywhere you can think of that has options that won't make me use a set menu with up to 50? I didn't find any last year other than StripBurger but stopped looking.
