Does this site work correctly for anyone?

I routinely go through the first twenty or so pages of posts looking for late vendor replies on threads because it's common for them to let a thread die and then add a spam post to it. I find it interesting that within the first few pages, I'll often encounter a recent reply to a thread; i.e. four or five days later someone replies to it. I'm wondering if the website is actually working correctly for anyone or are you just subscribed to the thread so it emailed you that there was an update and you were able to go straight to it?

'correct' operation would be if you have your preferences set to show newest threads first, any thread with recent activity would pop up to the top. That has never worked for me, and I've tried multiple browsers. I'm wondering if it works for some people though as that would make my life a lot easier; vendor posts would cause the respective threads to pop right back up to the top.

Tbh I never knew you could set it that way lol. I've always had it set to the default setting where it will display the newest thread made at top but nothing with recent activity would bump it back up to the top if that's what you're asking.

i dont have my setting set to bump new messages from days ago.  i have on other boards reported idiots cause them being vendors.  one dude is advertising fake documents.  lol i have to compliment that this board doesnt have vendors from what ive seen.

It doesn't work well for me. If someone just replied to a thread, this thread might not be on top. It might still be in the middle but with the date changed. I have to scroll and look carefully at each one of them to see if there's a new reply in a thread. It's really annoying... Doesn't work like most forums where you can, for example, just look at the posts since last visit.

Still it doesn't stop me from coming here

Doesn't work for me - I tried to set it to bring the thread with the most recent replies to the top long ago, but it's never worked for me.  Wish it did though.  Also wish the search function was better instead of just pulling results randomly and usually from ancient threads. :S

That feature has never worked for me either (shocking, I know).  New posts on old threads stay buried below.  Also I agree that the search feature on here sucks!

Well glad, in a bad way, that it's not just me; thanks for confirming the forum software they use sucks. :-)
