Hi I'm new-? about In-suite reception

Hey Ladies, I am LJ from Los Angeles and I am getting married May 21st. Looking into having a suite reception but wanted some suggestions as to where I should look or if you are having one, recommendations would be great. Also, are you able to bring your own food into the suite. Any other information would be great. TIA

Hi, welcome to the board! You can have an in-suite reception anywhere you want/prefer. We're getting married at the Wynn and will have one in a salon suite right there, possibly at the Encore which is a short walk from the Wynn. Info and pix in my BIO. Have you picked your ceremony location yet? It's convenient to have both in the same location but surely not necessary. The Vista Suite is also very popular. I don't know too much about catering services since the Wynn doesn't allow outside vendors. I'm sure the other lovely ladies will be more helpful ;-) GL!

Welcome!  I am getting married at the Mandalay Bay and having our in-suite reception in a Vista Suite.  Outside vendors are allowed for catering, so that makes it very convenient since most catering companies will set up/clean up for you.  I also have rented the suite for the  night before the wedding and the  night of.  We will be having a welcome gathering in the suite the night before for our guests/wedding party and then the ladies will be getting ready in the suite the next day (hair/make-up stylist is coming to us!).  I am excited about everything being in one place...and we won't be running all over trying to get to places and so forth.  I am getting married on MAY 20th... so we will be in Vegas at the same time:)!  Yay!

Welcome!!!! We are getting married at Caesars and having an in-suite at Aria (inside CityCenter). We have booked the hospitality suite which is 2,000 sq feet and has a seperate dining area. We also have booked Masterpiece Cuisine for catering. Scott was soo friendly, quick to anwser all my questions...even helped by suggesting hotel suites that would fit our party. I think most (if not all) hotel/casinos on the strip say "no outside catering"...but its more one of those things thats frowned upon....because most of the ladies on here have used outside catering for their insuites.

Popular hotels on this board to look at for suites are by far Mandalay Bay & Planet Hollywood...but you can also look at MGM, Caeasrs, Aria, Trump, Wynn, The Orleans, Flamingo, Cosmopolitan (opens in a few days) and Platnium (not in insuite but you can have it on the roof....which I think is an AMAZING idea).

HTH : ) amd happy planning

We had our reception in the Vista Suite catered by MC as well, they're great.  We also hosted our rehearsal lunch in the suite, catered by Fazoli's.  Super yummy, and SUPER cheap.  We ended up doing our ceremony in the suite, too, which saved us a ton of money and let us completely customize it.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Hi.  I am having mine at the Luxor in the Premier tower suite.

Junebug, how many people did you have in that 2000 Sqft room?  I am not sure how many guests I am having yet, and have no idea how much room I need.

Any suggestions anyone has about spacing issues in the suite would be greatly appreciated.

Did anyone get a DJ in suite? Do you know any other restrictions from the hotel?

I am looking to get married in Oct 2012, and am very interested in the Aria Hospitality Suite as a reception location.  I wanted to see how your experience was with Aria- and if you had any advice as far as the reception.  I plan on having around 35 people.  Did they give you any trouble with the outside catering?

    Thanks!
