Nevada-Las Vegas

Small quick but elegant

I am looking to have my ceremony in March this year ( I know very soon right?) We have been together 8 yrs and I never liked the idea of a vegas wedding. My hunni does tho. I finally said LETS DO IT! We are 25 and 26 and he said we can still do a reception her in Michigan so WHY NOT!! I love Vegas so does he. We have no idea where to look. It is going to be very small him, me, my 2 bestfriends, my dad, step-mom, and maybe my mom and her boyfriend. Nothing too major. We don't need a reception maybe a nice place to have dinner after. I would like a chapel that will take great pictures and is a nice place. I don't want a ran down place. I looked at the little chapel of flowers and it looks like something I would like plus its not expensive. We also seen a shark reef ceremony but its a little more then we would want to spend. He loves fish though (for xmas i got him classes to get certified to scuba). I thought that would be really cute but of course with such short notice IDK if we can come up with the cash. Please any help is appreciated!!! Where to get my hair done, chapels, dinner ideas, anything! And please keep in mind a small budget :) I already have my dress (have had it for 2 yrs!)

I originally booked with COF (chapel of the flowers) and the WC i worked with was super nice (robin) and they had a lot of great inexpensive package options.  My only problem with the chapel was the location of it (north of the strip).  The area was a little run down and seedy IMO, but not the chapel itself.  For example, it's next to a motel and adult video store.  We have a lot of much older and younger guests coming down for our wedding, but I said if we had a smaller wedding like you plan on, I think it would be fine.  You probably wouldn't even notice anything during the limo ride there.
As for dinner, your options are endless since you have a smaller group.  What is your favorite kind of food/meal?  That can help narrow it down.

FYI: I'm from MI too!  Northville.

Are you going to do a weekend or weekday? You can save quite a bit on the hotel ceremonies if you are getting married on a weekday. I am getting married on a Saturday in March also and I can tell you that when I switched my location there was still plenty of availability so you should be fine. You might have a little bit of a harder time with picking a MUA that is available so you might want to start making contact ASAP.

Besides COF, also look at Flamingo - their basic package is not much more and is in the middle of the strip and you can get married outdoors as well.

Tripadvisor is my favorite place to read about dining in vegas when I want to try a new place. They are ranked based on feedback and there are a TON of reviews.

This board has a ton of information for you!

Seafood is my FAVE!!! :) What is MUA?

We are looking at Chapel of Flowers. It is just a few imidiate family members coming. I don't mind what is next door.. I seen they do have a lot of openings still for COF so I am excited about that.  I will look into the flamingo. I am worried about traveling with my dress. I know I cannot check it and would never want to but we are flying spirit and they make you pay for everything you carry on. YUCK!  It is going to be on the weekend because my fiance cannot get time off during the week (besides mondays) so we will be flying home monday evening.
