HI! Need an honest opinion. Is this too risque for a bridesmaid dress? It IS a Vegas wedding.

I guess it would totally depend on what your girls are comfortable in, that's definitely not a very forgiving dress.  Have you asked their opinion?  It just makes me think of Katherine Heigel in 27 Dresses when she's in the "LA Wedding" and she's trying to hide behind people because the dress is too short...

In honesty, it's NMS, looks too much like a negligee to me.  Try to keep your guests' sensibilities in mind - if my MOH had worn that, my poor grandfather would have keeled over in the chapel.

Out of curiosity, is this a BM dress you would have chosen for them to wear if you were having your wedding in your hometown?  I guess it's because I live here, but it's weird to me when people think they have to go "over the top" because they're getting married in Vegas.

EDIT:  Oh duh - to ditto PP.  Are your bridesmaids going to be comfortable wearing that?  I'm no prude, but I would be really uncomfortable.

Yes, they will definitely be comfortable in this dress. We had already talked about their dresses being short - above the knee. I am not trying to be "over-the-top" because it is a Vegas wedding. However I still want them to wear fabulous dresses. I just don't want them to wear anything too plain or simple. I e-mailed them all and I'm just waiting for them to get back to me. I was just trying to see if the dress was too much for a wedding....

Honestly, the combination of black lace and visible underwire makes this look like something that wouldn't be worn outside the bedroom.

Honest opinion, I think it's too much.  To me it screams "We're going clubbing!!!"  I'm not trying to be rude so I hope you don't take it that way, it's just definitely not my style for a wedding.

I'm with all PPs. This screams lingerie to me to be honest. Vegas or not, I don't think this dress should be worn by anyone to a wedding. I don't mean to offend you either or anything, but I think weddings should be a classy affair.

I like the idea of where you're going with it. But I think that particular dress is a little risque. Maybe look for something not as short? Or keep the short, but something not as tight/lacey?

I am going to echo everyone else's voices and concerns that it may be a little over the top.  HOWEVER, this is your wedding and you know your "audience" the best.  Knowing the people who will be attending and the girls comfort level of wearing that dress... it is up to you to make that decision.  It is Vegas and everyone does something differently with their weddings... if it is the flowers, the venue, the reception or the dresses.  Good luck with your decision and I will be eager to heare what you decide!

Honestly, i LOVE it.  Love love love.  But PPs are right in that your BMs have to be comfortable wearing it-- if they all have tight little bods and are comfortable showin' 'em off, I say go for it!

This is NOT a fabulous dress. It looks like a nightgown.

It's a great dress to go out clubbing in but not for a wedding IMO. How about something like this...still kinda sexy but not to much...

I say if the BM are comfortable and in 20 years when you look back on your wedding day photos you don't think you will regret it then go for it. If you love it and the BM love it and the groom has no objections, then why not. You know your audience, yourself, and your BM best as one of the other ladies mentioned.

My ladies ordered from there and its a great dress (in our opinon) that will look classic in pictures but is also showing we are youthful and Vegas-fun... but not 'over the top' sexy where I would regret doing that to my wedding photos when I look back.

I do like the dress that Stinker posted, and you could add black jewelry/sash/clutch if you want to add the black color element.

OP I know you want your girls to look good, but I just think it might be a little much for a wedding. Maybe for your bachelorette party that would look great. I don't know about your wedding, but mine I will have several senior citizens, and it kind of looks like a nighty.....  but not the kind you sleep in.

Hehe! Thanks E....It can be hard to find but there is a way that it can still be sexy yet classy. Even the one I picked depending on the BM might be a bit much, ya know? The color is pretty but the material looks cheap to me. I don't think that just because it is a wedding in Las Vegas means that your girls need to be dressed somewhat risqué. 

Also, if you are questioning it, than it probably is too much.

The dress Stink posted is beautiful.

Well as much as I love the dress - the fact that I am on the fence should be a indicator that it is not going to work. I keep going back and forth. So I guess it's a no. Thanks for all the honest opinions ladies!
