DD Bus pricing

Hello ladies,
I know there has been many posts on the DD bus tour, and I keep seeing posts that it is $135/hr and a 2hr. minimum.  I just called for a quote and he said for the 2 hrs it would be $770!?
Is this what everyone is paying who is using it?  He told me $500 just to rent the whole bus and the additional $270 for the 2hr time slot....
I really love this idea for the M&G, but it seems a little steep...

When I booked the bus there wasn't a $500 fee to rent the bus.

I did not pay that either... we booked about a month ago. I'd ask if that is a new policy or something.

I was thinking about doing this as well.

@OP Which company are you working with and is there any other companies???

Wow! I just booked a few months ago and was not quoted this. I booked for 135/hr.

    Was it this company?

My wedding is March 19, 2011.  We booked double decker bus company for 2 hrs minimum for a strip tour and transport back to the Luxor from our reception.  $270 total for the two hours (including tip!!!)

Well what the heck?!  That was the website I went to and I called the 1800 # and the guy I talked to said 2 hr. minimum and a $500 rental fee.  He said paying that would be cheaper than just paying per guest ($15/person or something).
Hmm....I'm going to have to call back and see if I can talk to someone else!
    Thanks!

Ok, so I figued it out!  He quoted me $770 for the "entertainment package", which includes one of their entertainers for the duration of the tour.
Just renting the bus alone is in fact $270 (2 hr. minimum).
    Glad I called back!
