Nevada-Las Vegas

Another Newbie

I've been reading your posts and you all seem so very nice and helpful, so I guess I should share some info on me.

I live in California, I've been with my now FI for 1 year and we've been engaged for almost a month. He actually proopsed when we were in Vegas in January on top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris. It was so sweet and very unexpected!

It's going to be our second marriage for the two of us so we're keeping it very low key and intimate with just a handful of family and close friends.

He wants to get married in Vegas and I want a beach wedding. So I was searching around and found Tahitian Village Resort in LV and it seemed like it has everything that we were looking for. Has anyone been there or heard reviews from people that have? I'm thinking that we might have to take another trip out there to scout things out.

Oh, and no date yet!

Congrats!  The bold part describes me and my FI perfectly!  My dream wedding was Cabo, but FI prefers Vegas and his family has never travelled much less out of the country, so Vegas seemed practicial for us.  Sorry I'm not familiar with the venue you're interested in though.  We're getting married at Caesars.  I totally fell in love with it while I was there.

Not a beach, but check out Valley of the Falls at Mandalay in case the other thing doesn't pan out.  Or it wouldn't hurt to call Mandalay to see if they offer any type of wedding packages that involve their beach; they have a huge beach there, but I've never heard of anyone getting married on it so that may not be an option.

Welcome and Congrats! How about Lake Las Vegas? There's hotels out there that does weddings. Too bad the Ritz Carlton there closed up, I loved their ceremony site. Looked like a beach! lol Also, you might want to check out Lakeside Weddings.

We looked into the beach at Mandalay Bay and its beautiful!
Only thing that stopped us booking is the fact you can't book untill 3 months out because they hold out in case they need it for big functions etc.
Annoying as whos wants to wait untill 3 months before your wedding before you can set a date?!
Suppose if you didnt have lots of guests could be an option?
