Book Travis Allan??? And a check!!

He is available for my day? What do you guys think....should I book him? I think most of our guests will love him but not sure if it's too cheesy?

I also placed the deposit for Masterpiece and I am very excited about it!

I totally think you should book him. That was our one regret. All the brides that have booked Travis gave great reviews, and it's looks like lots of fun.

Book him! I did and I think I am looking forward to him the most out of entire wedding!  Ok maybe 2nd to the photography tour, but still I think he will be a hit and the cheesy-ness is what will make him memorable!

Travis was BY FAR the best thing about our wedding. I surprised everyone including my hubby, and he said Travis made the night perfect. He is amazing and worth every cent + more! He stayed an extra 30 minutes to take pictures with our guests, he's is amazing!

I've heard he's a good performer, but I think anything Elvis is too cheesy. LOL
But if you and your guests will like him, go for it!

I think it would be most appropriate and least cheesy in Vegas!  Anywhere else and yes Elvis would look out of place, but there's Elvis's walking all over the strip in Vegas, and some not so great ones.  Travis is supposed to be the best!

Yeah I didn't say it was out of place or that he wasn't the best.  She was asking opinions if it was "too" cheesy.  I think it's possible to have a Vegas wedding without having Elvis involved.  I was saying if she and her guests would like it, then it doesn't matter if it's cheesy.

Well of course you can have a perfectly great wedding without him and guests would never notice.  He looks like a great Elvis though and I think the Ladies especially will love him.

Our guests didn't care for Elvis music but it's a know your audience type of thing.

I think it will be more about his performance and persona than the actual music, but I get what you're sayin MVJP.

I am speaking for other brides, assuming not many would want a girl in a thong at their reception.

Really now you've taken to speaking for other brides?? Maybe you should stick to speaking for yourself.  Because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean you need to coNdemn the idea for others.  Expressing your disinterest is fine but don't assume you speak for the masses. Everyone has their own idea of entertainment. Just sayin'.

Thanks so much for all of your opinions, lol! Don't know if all our guests will love him but i'm going for it! Definitely WON'T be going for a showgirl or drag queen as I know that's definitely not what my guests are going for, ijs!

GK (travis's booking agent/dad) is super nice.  He talked my ear off for about 30 minutes and he was hilarious.  He loves his son that's for sure!

I think *mhoneybee* wanted or had a showgirl for her reception.

Our guests loved Travis.  Not sure that many do this, but we actually didn't have him perform at all.  Just had him for 30 minuts for photo ops.  We got all the digital rights to out photos from Steve Keegan so I was able to email each guest a picture of them with Elvis.  It was a big hit.  We kept it a secret so our guests were all surprised.

Travis is a fabulous perfromer & GK is a riot!!  When Travis got invoted to go on tour 2wks before our wedding, GK made arrangments for us to have Donnie Edwards fill-in and he was great too!  Having "Elvis" announce our arrival and perfroma at our wedding was such a treat for our guests (Both our moms' are big fans) and it was just the right amount of "Vegas"  without taking away from the meaningfulness of the celebration.

Good luck if you can book Travis - he's in *very* high demand and you won'r be disappointed!

I've  been wanting to do this! Where exactly do you book through? I found this place online, but I wanted to make sure it was legit and the guy I spoke with on the phone wasn't a phony. :)  I'm too cautious, I know...

its a place online.  What is the site you went to?  I cannot remember the name of the website.  The deposit is like $250 or something around there.
