Makeup in the 702 A+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Karen was my hairstylist and Celina did my makeup

 

The girls were both a bit late because there was a horrible accident on the freeway, but even with being late they didn't waste any time getting started and definitely listened to everything I had to say.  They were scheduled to be there from 3-4:30pm, and were done and gone by 4:15pm.  I have never had so many compliments on how amazing I looked. LOVED every bit of their work!!! 

 

Double Decker Bus - A++++++++

McDavid was our Driver and Greg was our "supervisor/assistant/beer wench"

 

This was the most amazing part of our day, besides being married, of course!!  Greg was PHENOMENAL!  We never had to wait more than 2 mins for a drink, and he was mixing mixed drinks downstairs! He rocked. LOVED this tour.  The only rule "don't stand up while the bus is in motion" Our guests played a reverse Red Light, Green Light game  LOVED every second of it.  Definitely take your own music, our guests loved our playlist and sang along to almost every song we chose, lol!  Loved it!

 

Alexis Park Resort (WEDDING) B

Joni was the wedding coordinator through LV Wedding Connection, though she doesn’t work for Alexis she is contracted through them.  She was good, the only complaint I have is that I emailed her back and forth several times asking for a specific bouquet.  The one I got wasn’t anything like the pictures I sent her, which was a little depressing.  At the end of the ceremony I handed it off and said “take this thing, it’s ugly”.  Apparently she was standing right there, I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings, but damn! LOL!

The photographer was through LV Wedding Connection as well, I don’t know his name, but he was fun.  My dad said “I wasn’t overly impressed with his pictures”.  We did hire our own photog too, which I am now thankful for. J  He is someone from our hometown that is actually a close friend.

The minister was Wanda Tracey, she was good. I appreciated her willingness to allow us to read our own vows and choose her readings.  J

Alexis Park Resort (HOTEL) D

I was VERY irritated with them.  Getting married there, they should fall all over you to help you, right? WRONG.  My husband went out on Thursday night and lost his phone and room keys.  They called me at 5:30am insisting that I verify my credit card on file to let him back into the room.  You’re kidding right? I made SURE his name was on the reservation since I knew we weren’t staying together that night.  LAME.  The next day his key wasn’t working (shocking, right?) so AGAIN, they called me while I was in the middle of getting my hair and makeup done and I had to go bridezilla on the rude front desk girl.  She was belittling Stephen in front of the whole lobby, basically making it out like he wasn’t supposed to even be there! I was pissed.  She changed her tone really quick when I told her I was in the middle of getting ready for my wedding and didn’t have time to jump through the hoops AGAIN that we just went through the night before. 

 

Bell Trans – B

They got us to our destination.  Sure.  When I walked out I was 15 min late, but I rented the bus for an hour, so I didn’t feel like it was a huge deal.  Apparently it was.  He almost left us because I didn’t answer my phone.  I was annoyed by this.  He was rushing us, even though the drive only took us 20 minutes.  ANNOYING, right?!?!  He was cutting through parking lots, and driving erratically.  Thank god I had a 36 pack of beer for everyone on the bus, lol!

 

The Chef’s Catering A++++++++

Chef J.B. met me at our location the day before to drop off linens for me, and to discuss final details.  Everything we talked about was perfect.  I appreciated his willingness to go above and beyond to meet our needs.  The food was fantastic, and his staff was amazing.  They were both more than willing to do more than they should have.  They helped pour beer and wine, and were overall AMAZING.  I am so thankful I chose this company, they were fantastic.  I only paid $21 per person, and it was MORE than worth it.  My dad is a chef, so there is a tough judge in the crowd, he had more than excellent compliments for them!

 

Another element of our wedding, that most people won’t hire, but I LOVED! Star Wars impersonators.  I don’t know that impersonators is the right word, they are a legion of Star Wars enthusiasts, who donate 100% of their profits (donations only) to Make A Wish.  They were more than willing to show up and surprise my husband, and that they did!!!!  He was soooo excited, as was his awesome nephew!  They brought 2 stormtroopers and a Darth Vader.  They even went on our DDB tour; we were the hit of the town!!!
