What time of day is best to get married?

Hi guys.

Im thinking we are going to get married at the stratosphere....but i cant decide what time of day would be best.

Married at night - for the awesome view of the strip all lit up

Married durring the day - then go around the strip for pictures elsewhere.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Re: What time of day is best to get married?

  • Im getting married in October and I believe it gets dark around 7 there. So we are getting married at 5 and then taking photos after, going to dinner and then more photos at night. That way we have photos during the day and at night. The strip is beautiful at night and im worried that it wont be as pretty during the day! Hope this helps!
  • We are getting married at 7 in April (just before sunset).  We are doing a photo tour with pictures from 2-5 that day and then the evening reception is at a location with the full view of the strip so we will get those pictures too.

Personally I wanted an evening wedding.  But I wouldn't do it if I wasn't going to get pictures before because i would want some in the day light.

    BTW welcome! :)
  • We are getting married in April at 3.  We are doing all of our photos after so I wanted either 3 or 5 and 5 was already booked with the hotel.

I'm a sucker for nighttime in Vegas (and pictures at night), so we're having a 5pm wedding.  We'll take some pictures inside before, but the vast majority will be taken outside while the sun is setting.

    Good luck and welcome!

    Thank you for the link!

We're getting married at 1 in the afternoon in April, do a couple strip photos during the day then (hopefully) sign museum followed by majority of strip photos at night.  That way I can have the best of both worlds
  • Thank you all for your help!

Im having such a hard time trying to decide where to pick.  I really like some of the stratospheres packages....but im just a little concerned b/c of its location on the strip...

How did you guys pick where to get married?  Im trying to stay on a budget (we will be having a reception back home) but i still want things to be nice....
