Nevada-Las Vegas

Looking for outdoor engagement photo locations

We kinda wanted to do something at the neon graveyard, but it looks like they're closed temporarily, and the price might be a little out of our budget.

We spoke to a photographer we are thinking of using, and he suggested Bonnie Springs or Red Rock. Has anyone had photos taken at these locations? We want something nice, and in the outdoors, but not where there's going to be a ton of tourists in our photos. Sealed

We did our first engagement shoot with Deacon Tyler at the boneyard, but he also took us to this one park (floyd lamb or something?) and there were all kinds of ducks and horses and peacocks and water there.

Next week we're all going to a dried up lake bed he was telling us about.  Check him out: http://www.dtyler-photography.com

Good luck on the photographer hunt!

    Thanks for the info!

We've been doing more research, and Bonnie Springs looks fun and different. We are local to Vegas and have never been there before!!!

You could also try Mt. Charleston.  We just got married up there and the views are just amazing.  There might even still be snow up there right now.  Don't see that too much here in the valley...

Monte Lago Vilage at Lake Las Vegas has a nice outdoors area with shops surrounding, and Mandalay Bay has a good outdoors area.

We are doing ours at Nelson Nevada. Mike Litchenwalner (sp) said he loves to shoot out there and they don't want much, just a phone call and like 20 bucks to take photos out there. I mean its a preserved Ghost town and they want to know your not gonna tear it up.

Its so neat out in Nelson.
its about 20 min outside of Henderson.

My kids love to run around out there and I didn't realize how cool it was in photos until I saw these ones.  Bryan and I are going ot be dressing in dark blue levi's and crisp white shirts for the shoot.  Our kids will be dressed similar.

I wanted to note that the link I provided is not my contracted photographer.  Just a random guy from google.  I am not endorsing him at all.  I have contracted through Mike @ mikelphotos.com
