RSVP vent Part II

I vented a while ago about his family.

**For the record, I love them, they are super sweet and have been extremely supportive while I've been here. They love me and I love them back**

My RSVP deadline was 4 days ago (1 Dec), it takes regular mail about 10 days to get here BUT I had emailed everyone and encouraged them to RSVP on our site...

I've received 0 responses from his family, all the guests attending from his side are all friends, in the meantime, my family has been making huge sacrifices to be there and they just booked their flights.

I am so disappointed.....

End of vent

OHHHH NO!!!! That really does suck :(.. I definitely know where you are coming from :(

Just try to stay positive and just remember that your wedding will be exactly what you wanted it to be whether they show up or not.

Oh and also if you really are concerned I would definitely make my FI call his family and let them know that they missed the date and you need to know if they will be coming or not. I know the for some reason people think that they don't have to RSVP (why???) I know that you probably want to scream at them but... I did that and it doesn't get you anywhere (still haven't RSVP)

That must be very disappointing indeed. Don't know what to say, maybe ask your FI to intervene?

He's not expecting them to come, basically he just said they are not the kind of people that would get on a plane and travel cross-country for anything (they are kind of "country", no offense).

I just sent everyone that had not RSVP'd a super nice and loving email giving them an update on my return to the US and kind of slid the fact that I needed them to RSVP on line since I'll be traveling and will miss the mail, blah blah blah...

It's just a bit disappointing not to have his family there...

I think the RSVP email was a good idea...hopefullhy they'll respond.  I can totally relate Encore! My FI's family is country too!!  He's a total country boy and for some of our guests it will be their first time flying!

I think the email is a good idea. We have some folks on both sides that have never flown, so it should be interesting.

I'm sorry that you are having difficulty with the RSVP's.

I am sorry that you are having a hard time with FI family RSVP. If you do not receive  a responses from your email that you sent them , you should have your  FI talk to his family to see what is the problem.
