Double Decker Bus Co

Has anyone used this company before?  They hire out open top double decker buses.  I am so tempted to do this for my strip tour as it means all my guests would fit in together.  It holds 90 people!

Just looking for some reviews

I have them booked for our wedding in September!  Obviously I can't give you reviews on the buses yet, but we worked with Mike on the reservations and he's been great.

I know there is at least one other married gal on here who has- threemarie24.  Her bio has a review: http://www.mywedding.com/jamieandjj/

We just booked them for our wedding in a couple of weeks.  I've heard good things, and the reservations guy was really nice.  We had too many for one of the regular limo buses, so this was a surprisingly cheap option.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

We just hired them as well for our June wedding and the booking guy has been great to deal with. Our guests are going to have a blast! We are sending them on an hour strip tour while we get photos between ceremony and reception... I'm kinda jealous, I wish I could go too! As an added bonus, there is an IPod dock and you can have booze on it =)

Thanks to threemarie24 for the vendor review!!

    ppenticost-

How much did they charge you for one hour? Are the picking them up at your ceremony and then taking them to the reception? Where is your ceremony/reception? I'm thinking of doing this too! Wasn't thinking we would be able to provide transportation while we are taking our pics but this seems a great option?! We have to get two limos just for our bridal party unless we can upgrade to a bigger size. Then after the bridal party we would have about 85 guests. Some will travel on their own though I'm sure. It said some can stand?? Hoping about 70 guests on the actual bus. They would only have about 45 minutes on the bus though because I want them to get to the recpetion a bit early. Leave 5 pm at Caesars and get to Maggiano's around 5:45 for a 6pm recpetion. Does this sound doable? Not sure if they will still get to see some of the strip? : )

Also...does anyone know if it has air or if it gets way too windy up top? Worried about older guests.

Thanks for any help you have!

I wanted to use them so much but they told me it would take 1 hour to get from the strip to my venue (Springs Preserve) b/c they cannot go on the highway :(  So I am going to try something else.

thanks everyone for remembering and looking at my bio. I LOVED them, and everyone of my guests also Loved them!

Lindsay... I have a few of your questions answered in my bio under married bio.  In summary I THINK you have to hire them for a min of two hours, but I'd call and ask, maybe they can do it? YES it is a bit windy up on the top, but that is the fun part of a open air top. We did not need AC on our day so I cant saw if they do or not, but if your hot go up on top, there are a few seats in the front of the bus that has the window blocking the wind.  I know you can not stand up on the top, not sure if they would be okay for people to stand up downstairs, I remember seeing the max is 72 people.

I'd love to answer more questions if anyone has more.

Also it was very nice for the wedding as the driver had a "Last name" sign waiting for us in the hotel lobby, it was cute.

Indsy1213 - Our ceremony is at CP at 6:30pm and our reception is at PH at 8pm. Our 55-60 guests are staying at PH so we are having the bus pick them up at 5:45pm and hopefully getting the guests over to CP no later than 6:10pm. He is waiting for them until about 7pm and taking them for a drive up the strip and having the guests back at PH for about 8ish. We will be on a strip tour with Todd so we won't even get back there until 8:30/9:00. It's a tight schedule so they may only get 45 min on the bus but I know my guests will love this type of thing! Oh and it is $135 an hour and we have 2 hours booked.

We are *almost* wedding twins! Are you inside or outside for your ceremony? We're in the Venus Garden... and yes, we will have water and fans for everyone =)

Ppenticost-We are getting married at Caesars in the Classico Chapel : ) We are having a rehearsal at Caesars the day before in the Classico Chapel Maybe I will see your bridal party around Caesars that day all done up??!! hahaha do you know if the bus has air on the bottom? don't wan't it to be crazy hot for our guests.

three marie- Wow! your schedule is impressive! I don't know if I could do all that. I like the way you work girl!! ; )

called him......we may go for it! They said we have to book a two hour minimum even though we are only using it for an hour. : ( Still think it's the best deal around for the most people even if we waste an hour. We will be at maximum capacity though. Jealous I won't be going too!!! Will have to have someone take pics and video for me. : )
