Please tell me this won't look bad

We are having our ceremony at the Classico Chapel at Caesars.  It seats 200 people.  We picked it because it is absolutely beautiful, even though it it way too large for out guest list.

We originally invited 40 people.  It looks like only 20 or 22 will actually be in attendance.  I am completely okay with the number, because the people who aren't coming are just old family friends of my FIL's, and I didn't particularly want them there to begin with.

Is having 20 people inside a chapel that seats 200 going to look terribly depressing?

OMG - no I don't think so.  It's no different than getting married in a church. If this is what you want who cares what others think.  Besides, everyone will be looking at you anyways Wink

AGREED!! I think it will be fine and it's such a pretty chapel! I would not want to switch.

I think the room (chapel) we had at MB sat 60 or 70---we only had a little over 20. Did it look a bit "thin"? Sure. Was it something I spent more than 2 second noticing, or something someone else commented on? Not at all.

    It will be fine!

I am going to disagree with with other posts.  I think it will feel very disappointing to you.

Churches are one thing, I would rethink the chapel there and pick one of the more intimate ones or the outdoor ones.

Thanks for the comments ladies.  I am going to stick with the chapel.

I've seen the Classico room, it has such a bright, heavenly feel to it. And I've seen many videos, and not a single one I've seen has even come close to filling up that room. I didn't think it look aweful or terrible, and didn't give it a second thought, so I think you should be ok.

Thanks for posting this.  I think my guests will notice the beautiful room, and not that it isn't full.

Olivea, I'm in the same boat as you (guest list of 40, expecting about 30).  I'm really dedicated to keeping our chapel at Paris though, so I'm hopeful that it won't look too bad.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too!

Don't worry it will look fine!  I can't imagine having a destination wedding and being able to fill up 200 seats anyway!

I think it will look just fine! Don't worry about it.

I don't think anyone will notice and you'll be too busy/excited to give it a second thought!

I don't think you will notice it. It definitely won't be something you look back on and care about. I would pick the chapel that I liked best regardless of size. Plus a bigger chapel means you get more time to walk down the isle :)

Olivea I love this chapel! This is the one I fell in love with and we are getting married there in October with about 40-50 people and I considered size for a second but everything else just won me over so I wouldn't change for the world. I'm sure everything will be fine and I've seen videos online and pictures of the chapel not even 1/4 full and it still looked gorgeous!
