definitely a good idea.  We're 100 days out from our wedding and prices are skyrocketing!  Good thing most of our guests have booked.

Where did everyone do their room block?  From when I looked into it, the places didn't seem to be worth it.... (aegrish I know yours is at Vdara)

I have one at The Platinum, where the reception will be. It's a little pricey ($129), but the rooms are nice, so whatever. There are no minimum requirements, so if only two people get a room, it's fine.

I also have a room block at Imperial Palace which I just arranged through Caesars/Harrahs group. I'm getting married at the Flamingo and IP is right next door, and about half the price. Most of my guests will be traveling as budget consciously as possible. I was quoted some great rates for Flamingo though.

For IP we got $25 for the weekdays, $75 on Friday, and $129 on Saturday. And no resort fees!

I did my room block at TI, but if I had to do things over I probably wouldn't have bothered. TI ended up having a sale in Jan. that most of my friends and family used. Some people tried to switch rooms for the special, but TI wouldn't allow them. (so ppl just called back and booked under their spouse's name). A tad ridiculous.
