Lawrence Wedding Help- DJ & Photographer

Hey ladies I'm new to the boards, but I wanted some advice.  Has anyone used Elizabeth Jackson or Don Brent for photography in the Topeka/Lawrence/KC area?  Also, I'm having a really hard time deciding on a DJ, I wasnt someone who isn't too pushy and is relaxing as well.  Anyone tried Daren & Randy?  They are wedding singers a friend suggested, but I don't know how well I like that idea.  Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated!

    I am using carrieoke productions. carrie is great and not pushy at all. dj service and experienced. check her out www.carrieoke.com. hope this helps :)

    you should check out rebecca peters photography.  She has recently done several of my friends' weddings, and she is great. if i wasn't getting married in hawaii, i would definitely be hiring her! i think she's based in olathe (maybe?), but definitely worth checking into.     I would advise AGAINST Traditions Weddings. Besides taking very few pictures of family and the ceremony, they have still yet to get me my photos. It's been 6 months!

    Ha! just got an email from traditions saying that they left kansas and are out of business and they'll try to get me my photos by the end of the month. Anyone have any legal advice?

    Most of the vendors in KC are fine coming to Lawrence, so they might be worth looking into. We've booked a DJ that's on Mix 93.3. I've heard really good things about them from several people... Note: they don't just play the same pop music they play on air...

    As for photographers, I am extremely picky and took awhile to find the right one: Jason Domingues. I really appreciate his journalistic take on photos. It's not for everyone, of course, but I feel like it's a more realistic way to tell the story of your wedding, than something that's really posey. Check em out: http://jasondomingues.com/blog/
