Bay 7 in Durham

My fiance really wants our reception to be at Bay 7 in Durham.  This is where he proposed and a fav of ours.  We will be getting married at Duke Chapel in April 2013 so it is close by and goes with our feel.

My question is - has anyone worked with them in the past?  Or are working with them now?  If you are, please let me know!  I have some more specific questions!

This may be a silly question but how far in advance does Bay 7 book?  Are you going to wait until you've got a solid April date from Duke before booking Bay 7?  I know these aren't really helpful questions, I was just nosy and wondering about your planned logistics.

I have to check out Bay 7's cancellation policy first but if it works with our plans, we are going to book it now and pray we get the date want at Duke chapel.

That's probably a good plan.  I was in a wedding once at Duke Chapel.  It was beauiful, but kind of a pita.  I know the bride and her father literally camped out to get the date.

Hey there! I am a vendor and they do an amazing job! Valerie does an amazing job and they do so many weddings that they could do them in their sleep. You will just need a really good caterer who knows the space and will invest themselves in your day. My fave to work with and a bride favorite is Rocky Top Hospitality. They are on the Bay 7 vendor list. And photography wise this place is amazing for pics!! i ove shooting there. Just note that if you want to do a bridal portrait or e-session there that you will need to tell your photographer to get a permit from Valerie! BTW, Duke Capel is GORGEOUS!!! Good luck!!
