A friend of mine wants a small letterpress thingy- where can he buy one?

Do you mean an embosser? Letterpress is a style of printing as far as I know (ink-covered metal plates pressed into paper). You can get custom embossers at at OfficeMax, Office Depot, Amazon, & a ton of other places (online & in-store ordering).

They have the L letterpress things that work with Epic Six Tools at places like Michaels and AC Moore.  It's new, but I know I've seen them in their promotional papers.  I would suggest calling around to see if they have it in store before going to all of the stores.  

I've heard that the some of the plates were cracking and breaking, so make sure you tell him to do some homework on it.  Overall, its a really cool idea for DIYing something like this.
