Olga

Hey!
Alright so I have an appointment with Olga on the 23rd to see what can be done with my dress. She said she couldn't give me any costs yet because she hasn't seen the dress on me (which is obvious and I understand).
It should be a simple alteration, but i was curious if anyone could discuss a relative cost at what i might be looking at? Alterations weren't really put into the budget (because Im a nim-rob) so Im praying it wont be too much.

The dress is Impression Bridal 3011. Some rhinestones are loose so those need to be fixed (simple fix), the dress needs to be a little shorter, and a bustle (nothing fancy at all). . .

Any help?

TIA!

I would guess you'll be paying under $150 (depending on the complexity of the sewing of the dress- layers and how many bustle points there will be)

She took my dress from this to this:

and it was only $200 I think!

Jessica. . First. Love your dress! I never realized it was your moms and I think its so awesome you did that! Also, thanks, you put me a little in relief. I was fearing it'd be in the 200's. A firend offered to fix it for me, but I'd rather have someone that truly knows what their doing fix it.  There aren't many layers at all and its a pretty light dress so I don't think many bustle points will be needed, but I could be wrong :)

I paid $163 for 19 bustle points and bra cups added in (bra cups cost $20). She forgot to hem the dress so I didnt pay for that, not sure how much that is. Her bustle points are usually $5 each, mine were $8 because my dress had a bazillion layers and the train was very complex. If your alterations are very few you may not even break $100.

I paid $160 for a 5 point bustle, cups sewn in, beading fixed, dress taken in on the sides, and the whole zipper being replaced. The zipper was the most expensive part (I think it was like $50 or something) because she had to undo a seam and redo some of the beading by hand to create the hidden zipper. From what you described I doubt you will even break $100.

I have my first fitting with Olga on 2/6, but I was wondering if I still need to take my gown somewhere else to have it pressed or if she does it?

    She can press them.
