I seriously had a person I knew in high school post on my wall on facebook that she would send me an email with her address in it because she wanted to come to my wedding and showers. I haven't seen her SINCE high school - just about 10 years ago. Does she seriously think she's making the guest list? Wow...

gah!!I I know I do NOT understand why people get sooo greedy when it comes to weddings. Don't worry about it!

My FI and I had someone FB message us and say how they would love to come to our wedding... um, no. We weren't ever really friends and I haven't talked to you in 3 years........ grrrr. 

edit: I just looked at your wall.. I would be sooooooo irritated. Sorry to fuel your fire, but that kind of attitude annoys the crap out of me! You don't just say I want to come to your wedding here's my address. BOOOO.

I know what you mean. I had someone from high school just come out and ask "So am I going to get an invite?"...I haven't seen her in over 5 years! I get tired of being nice and saying something like "we really don't have room in the guestlist to invite all our friends". I also don't have the heart to just say no. Do people not realize that's just rude?

This happened to me at the wedding I went to in September.  I ran into a girl I haven't seen since middle school, my wedding came up, and she's saying all the things she'll do at my wedding.  Huh?!

gosh she is DESPERATE much!??!  She tagged you in a photo from your prom and then is all like..."I'm sending you my address because I want to go to your wedding and bridal showers"....WTF.  you might want to defriend me before I respond to her post...lol. j/k

Fi I use to work together, but I took another job.  There are about 750+ employees at the agency and he still works there.  People are constantly saying don't forget to invite me, and when are the invites coming, etc. to us when I am visiting him and to him on a daily basis.  We can't invite 750+ people that are co-workers!  Really??  I have just been telling everyone it is family and close friends when I get these questions.  It is SO rude to ask for an invitation!

Oh my lord. I love these people. It's like the wedding is a beacon that says "free meal, open bar and a photographer" and all these people respond to it like the bat signal. Oh well, they'll feel a bit stupid when they don't get the invite and they've publicly requested one. Maybe they won't do it to other people then. Sorry you have to deal with them though!
