Re: Please proof my Invites/RSVP cards

It all looks great! The only think I would maybe change would be to add some lines where they can list their names on the RSVP cards. Only because I'm a person who likes to have a line to write on. My writing is horrible and I need a guide lol.

ETA: I'm kind of confused on the map. Is it just to inform guests on what's on the strip or is it for directions to the chapel? If so I would put the chapel on the map.
• They turned out fantastic!! I love the look! I looked them over and didn't see anything. I even tried to make myself go back through and spell check the words one by one in my head lol.

The only thought I had is you have a map of the strip but no star for the chapel? (I've never been to Vegas so I wouldn't know where it is.) I would be looking for that on that map. Or what do the hotels in hearts stand for? Are those places you blocked off rooms? That is my only thing. And maybe if I was an actual guest I would understand but from the outside looking in I'm totally clueless.

Sorry I should have added that in my original post. So we are having a limo pick everyone up but i'm not sure where yet because i was going to do someething kind of central to where everyone is staying. The chapel is north of the strip like 2-3 miles and its hard to fit on there without making it look goofy... maybe i'll have to play with that a little bit. Thanks for the input!

ETA: No one has booked yet ... but i kind of want to get the invites printed soon. So i was just going to put that info on the wedding website / word of mouth / text message if need be.

Also I kind of liked the box i was going for this kind of look: CLICKY

Does anyone think it looks like: "I feel like there's a way to still get the funky look you want without making it look like a STD or one of the advertisements that are scattered on the street in Vegas. It looks like you don't want to be traditional but your last names are off and I feel like afternoon is far too prominent on the invitation." -- quote from the invites and paper board.

I won't feel offended... I don't want to send these to family and friends and have them be like WTF....

Ok so let me address each thing individually.

Does it look like a STD? Upon looking at it again with that in mind it does kind of have that aire to it but I don't think that degrades it. If you were having a very formal wedding I would totally steer you against it.

Does it look like an ad? Well to me it doesn't look like an ad but I've never been to Vegas so maybe not a good judge of that??

Traditonal and no last names-- Well you aren't exactly having a traditional wedding so why do your invites have to match that? And becuase I know a little about your wedding and that it is small and intimate and how your reception is etc. I don't see why you would need your last names for immediate family and close friends? They will know who you are.

Afternoon- It is kind of large. I didn't see anything wrong with that when I first looked at it. I don't think that my eye would have been drawn to it had it not been pointed out. But I guess if you want to be very technical it is a weird word to make so big.

Thanks for your honest opinons! Well I wasn't really trying to have it so big i just was trying to fill the negative space.... and try to match it with the top half of the invite - but i'm no graphic designer. i was just kind of tryiing to imitate the invitation i liked, which was click Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

• You got really close! I'm impressed. I should also add that the exact word aside i think that the last word on the invite being that big seems very right. And if you choose to shrink it just becasue it says afternoon then the invite might not look as cool
• For the informal destination wedding your going for (as far as I know), I think these invites are perfect. I definitely don't think they'd be appropriate for an at home chapel and hotel ballroom wedding. However, I think it's perfect for your Vegas wedding. They look great, they stand out, and I think they're fun. Yes, afternoon is a bit large, but I really only thought about that once you pointed it out. I think that map is fine, although if you were able to add the chapel it would be better. Other than that, I truly do think you did an awesome job!

• I think they look great...I was actually debating on doing something fun and original such as this for my Vegas wedding too. I opted for a more traditional invitation but only because our STDs were Vegas themed and didn't want to over do it. I think they are perfect....we are fun brides having a Vegas wedding and I don't think there is anything wrong with the invitation reflecting that!

The only thing I would change is I like it to say "Half past" instead of Half after" but such a minor detail...could go either way!

You did a great job...and on my invitations we had our first names really big too and they were formal. No worries girl! They are awesome!

I agree that I like half past better - but I thought I read somewhere that half after is the term that is supposed to be used because half past has something to do with funerals? Or something like that?

Just curious, I think you and possibly smurdock? talked about this before but when are you sending your invitations and what is your RSVP date? I just threw a date in there to get it done ....

• I think the invitations look great and definitely mirror the 'feel' of your wedding. 'Afternoon' stood out to me when I first looked at the invitation. Partly because of it's size, and partly because 5:30 doesn't feel like the afternoon (even if it is technically). But it's such a minor detail, I wouldn't even worry about changing it!

I know... Techinically 5:30 is afternoon and 6:00 is evening.... So I guess I was trying to go for what is considered right but do you think it should be evening instead? or that woudl look better??
