My reception is at The Ranson House in Huntersville.  You can also have ceremonies there.  I don't know what your definition of "pricey" is, but the house lets you hire outside caterers and bring your own alcohol to save money.

I'm confused.  Are you looking for something close to Concord, or no?

Have you thought about the Bost Grist Mill? Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable.

You can also checks Cabarrus Parks and Rec. I think it only costs $20 per day to reserve a spot near the pond at Frank Liske.

Try the Lakes at Kannapolis, or The Orchard House in Concord. I have also heard of a place called Magnolia Glen that is near there.

thank you all im actually looking at some of the places you have suggested. im looking mainly near concord and the park was a great idea its only 10 mins from my house. price rang is kinda low seeing as me and my fiance are most likely paying for it ourselves with no help from my family. any other suggestions would be great

I really, really liked The Orchard House and the girls who own it are awesome. It was my 2nd choice venue -- we decided on where we did because it was more convenient for our families (Mooresville & Newton).  But they have all inclusive packages that are based off how many guests and were very reasonable in everyplace else I looked at!  It's a beautiful place and they give you lots of options.

I went to a wedding once at Saratoga Springs, it was gorgeous!  They rent out different areas of the Cabbarus Arena, that might be more affordable.  And inside the Concord Embassy Suites is a restaurant called Rocky River Grille, I was there a few months back and they were all set up for a really cute rehearsal dinner.
