Ceremony Decorations

I'm getting married in a theatre, and the ceremony is on stage. Other than a podium, it is VERY bare, and its a large space, making it even more plain. Any ideas on how to dress it up? I don't want to break the budget.

Will the stage curtains be open or closed? 

Ferns around edge of stage
Trees in front of closed curtains
Columns with candles or floral arrangements on them

For a stage you could do it with the curtains closed and stand in front of the curtain to give it more of a closed look. If you want open curtain why dont you consider arches, columns, pin flags, potted plants, photos of yourselfs or even do the set of your favorite show.

You could stream light strings from the ceiling, or have lights on the back curtain

We saw the setup for someone else's wedding, and the curtains were open. I don't know if there is enough space if the curtains are closed. Otherwise, that would really help. The columns is a good idea, as well as the light strings. Thanks everyone!
