Wedding Dress Cleaning & Preservation

Wow! It's been forever since I've been on here! But, I was cleaning out our spare closet yesterday and decided that perhaps I should get my dress preserved instead of letting it hang in the closet forever. I know that a lot of girls recommend wedclean, but I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation of a place that I could actually take it (preferrably in the South Hills or Cranberry). Should I trust it at a regular dry cleaners?

I used Owl's DryCleaners. I don't have it back yet so I can't say what kind of job they did, but they are in Warrendale and I think they have a store in Cranberry too.

KR recommended Model Cleaners to me when I asked about this (though I just want it cleaned). I took it to them and am waiting on it now (about 6 weeks I was told). It is around $100 to just get it cleaned- not sure on preservation. There a bunch of locations too: http://www.modelcleaners.com/HTH!

Hey Nicole!  Hope you are well!  :)Yep, my mom had my gown cleaned and preserved at Model's in Bethel - right by the Giant Eagle, Rita's, Pizza Hut, etc on 88.  It is all boxed and wrapped, so we didn't even open it...not really sure if they do a good job or not, haha.  :P

Thanks girls! I think I'll check out Model. Owl's has a $20 off coupon on their site...which seems to me that the cleaning and preservation must be more expensive there, but I'll check there too. I didn't want to send it to wedclean b/c the tulle is torn on the bottom of the one side so I would rather take it somewhere so I can show them. I hope everyone is doing well! I've been so busy studying that I just haven't had time to check in. But, I did hear that my wedding album was on display at the wedding show two weeks ago, so that was exciting!
