I started thinking about music today bc I was bored... We're hiring a DJ to do the ceremony & reception. For the cocktail hour and dinner music... is it bad to have more upbeat love songs than the usual mellow & slow ones? My FI & I have personalities that are upbeat, and those are the ones I like the best. Our wedding's going to be relatively casual, and I want every moment to be fun.. I'm not so worried about it being formal.
Secondly, how do you feel about "oldies" (like Elvis, the Beatles) during the cocktail hour and more modern options during dinner? I feel like the oldies would be a nod to the older generations in attendance.
