Weekly Checks!

Okay ladies! It's that time again! I figured I'd put this up early because I need to go over to my parents' house for Easter dinner in a little bit (my family does orthodox easter instead of western easter). What did you get done this past week? Anything good? What are you planning on doing this upcoming week? I've entered into the dangerous less than 5 months territory. EEP. 

THIS PAST WEEK

Things were a little nuts this week because I had to meet with my phd advisory committee, so that's basically all I thought about lol. I did order my wedding band yesterday though with my sister! It's got 5 round prong-set diamonds (.25 carats) which I think looks really nice with my round diamond tiffany style solitare (1 carat). So relieved to have both of our bands done! I ordered FI the "passion" tungsten band from JVL.com. If anyone is thinking of ordering from them, go ahead and do it! It really was only 25 dollars (including shipping) and the band looks really, really nice. Here's the code I used: 230925. I also liked metal masters on amazon and overstock had a ton too. 

THIS UPCOMING WEEK

-order the freaking invitations!!!

-look for wedding shoes

-buy my shower dress (found a super cute one at express)

That's about all I have planned. I think the invitations will be pretty time consuming what with getting all the wording together. I also have freaking jury duty tomorrow which sucks a lot.

I am somewhat ahead of the game as far as April checks go which is good because I didn't do much last week.

Last week:

Approved invitation, etc. proofs and paid for them

Ordered a return address stamp

Next week:

Follow up with artist about my ring

Put down a deposit on the house my family and friends will be renting the weekend of the wedding

Find a hotel for the wedding night

Update wedding website

Last Week:
Went over menu choices with the caterer to get the ball rolling
Booked rental car for the first half of our honeymoon
Bought a frame for the instruction card for our fingerprint tree
Bought a Living Social deal to have our fingerprint tree printed on a canvas
Got closer to finalizing ceremony music choices
Got my earrings in the mail!  Yay!

This Week:
Make tasting appointment with caterer
Make appointment for tuxes
Call rental company & book rentals
Finalize ceremony music
Buy linens after finalizing rentals

Ordered bridesmaids dresses

Reminded bridesmaids to book hotel rooms in our block

FI got the info for the tux rentals to the guys

This week: 

Get feedback on the initial wedding invitation designs to my friend

Give all contact info for the guest list to my MOH/ FMIL

Maybe look at rings next weekend with FI

Look at more cake ideas - come to some kind of agreement with FI

Book room block at another hotel

This past week:
- Ordered invitations for wedding & rehearsal dinner (the parts that are printed from VP)
- Created all table numbers
- Made corsages for: both mothers, SIL & FSIL
- Made votive holders for head table
- Made Mrs/Mr signs for head table
- organized and floral taped all flowers for along the aisle
- Ordered my hair fascinator
- Found the PERFECT cufflinks for my MOH
- Created the baskets for programs, tears of joy packets, bird seed packets
- Created the baskets for birthday baskets with the saying on the front
- Created the Photobooth/Guestbook sign
- Finished bouquet charms for all the BMs

Wow... it looks like SO much when its all listed in one spot like that!!!!

This week:
- Create flower arrangements for altar
- Add ribbon to flowers for the aisle
- Create display with our parents wedding days
- The last flower girl headband
- 'Incase of Cold Feet' socks for FI
- start working on scrapbook for MOH (finding material for it)
- decide what we're doing for a program and start designing it

This Week:
Figure out how many pictures we need for our photo guest book
Buy a new printer and maybe make table numbers
Schedule pre-marital counseling session with minister
Hopefully hear from soung guy
Call dress store and see which bridesmaids have ordered dresses/remind girls who haven't

Last Week:

- ordered my shower & RD dresses online (shower dress came yesterday and fits perfectly!)

- bought my "something blue" (blue lace panties that have "I DO" in Swarvoski crystals on them)

- made a few calls to potential RD locations

- my FG's aunt & grandmother bought a potential dress for her for the wedding...still need to see it in person though

This Week:

- set up the cake tasting

- get this stupid RD booked (seriously these 2 things have been on my last 3 weekly check things)

- start looking into invites

- finalize a shower guest list for my MOH

Well you all are rocking and rolling.

Last week:  Ordered invitation samples. However,  I can't proceed with my invites until next month.  The FH is dealing with some health issues that may cause us to move the wedding date.  Still we continue with the planning and pray for the best.  T&P are appreciated. 

This week:  Cake tasting is set for tomorrow evening. 
Hope to set up first premarital counseling session.
Hope to bookwedding day  transportation this week.
