'New' knotties

As the Mod, I want to try to keep track of who is new and help engage you more in chats if I can. We need some fresh fun to add to our party. :P So, if you don't mind, would you respond to this post and let me know that you're new? I'm gonna keep track on my end. And by new knottie, I mean that you are newly engaged or if you don't post often but have been engaged for a while.

    I have been engaged since 07 and planning for July 2010. I don't really post that often unless I run into a snag with my planning. Sometimes family members and friends just can't tell you what you need to hear. I just did a post about my bridal shower, any advice?

    Hi. Congrats on your engagement. Bummer tho that you don't post unless you don't find answers for something. The community is fun and needs to be built up. Oh well. Thanks for responding tho. :)

    I'm wondering if we should try to plan a GTG for some of the new girls to meet some of us "old" gals.  Although so many of the new people aren't from Pgh.

    That would be great. I just wish that it felt like more 'new' knotties wanted to get involved. I'm trying to gauge that now, but not getting many nibbles. :)

    I was thinking about posting something about the GTG aspect of the board. Seeing if the not so new gals (seems not right to say old gals) wuld be up for meeting the new gals

    By "we" planning, I mean someone else taking the reigns and actually planning it.  I am horrible with planning GTGs because I suck at responding to most emails.

    If a newbie wants to be in charge, please do!  It's pretty easy.  Tell people who are interested to email you, create an event on doodle.com and send the link to everyone to get availability.  Actually, since Traci told us about doodle, planning GTGs has been WAAAY easier with a lot less emailing.  I still call "not it."

    I have to say I am probably one of the WORST email responders myself (even @ work. oops!)But if it comes down to no one else wanting to, I can fwd them to my BB, cause that is ALWAYS near me =p

    The locations vary, but I'd say something central (in the city-ish) is good since we come from all different directions. :)

    hmmm I'm thinking about taking the reigns here, but I'm not ready to fully commit yet due to the fact that I found out I'm not only in line for another knee surgery but a potential hip surgery too (I'm falling apart at 25) So I may have a lot on my plate but I think this would be too fun not to have happen. Let me check after my next Dr. appt.

    Hi!  I got engaged in Dec. 2007... I would like someone to plan a GTG and invite me.  I would be a newbie at a GTG because I've only made it to one in my knottie lifetime.

    Hi I'm new to the knot.  I posted an intro last week.  I, unfortunately, live in Maryland though.  I was in town this past weekend kinda last minute to do some wedding stuff.  But I don't know if I will be able to come back before November because of work - I work a lot on the weekends so boo to that!  Otherwise, I'd love to meet some of you ladies!

    I've been on here for a while now, as you all have seen:-)  But I'd like to do a get together, but since I live in Maryland, around holidays are best because I visit my parents then...but I'm all for trying to get "home" for a GTG

    Hi! I am new :) I got engaged in April and am not getting married until July 2011. I think i GTG would be great, my schedule is crazy but hey, so is everyones! On a side note.... sometimes it can be a bit intimidating entering into a group of ppl that seem to know each other so well. Not that you seem unfriendly or uninviting, because you don't at all, sometimes it is just hard to become part of the group (especially since most activity is during the day).

    I'm pretty new here.. I posted an intro a couple of weeks ago..  I have been trying to post when I can, but I've noticed that most people post during the day, and I'm not available until after I get home from work (after 5.00pm), so I feel kinda out of the loop when I do post... My wedding is next June 18th.  I am in the process of dress shopping right now -- I'm hoping to find something soon *fingers crossed*.  Other planning details are going great.. we have our church, reception site, photographer, DJ, and baker..Working on a florist and details (invites, ceremony decorations, escort cards, programs, etc...)

    Hi, I'm Suzie.  I have been engaged since March, and my wedding day is Sept 5, 2010.  I just actually posted for the first time yesterday!  I'm in the pgh area and going to grad school right now.. so I'm pretty busy but would love to get to "know" you all better!

    Thanks for posting, ladies. :) I know that it is tough to a) keep up if you can't be on the Board during the day and b) feel comfortable jumping in when everyone seems to know each other. But hopefully you will chat with us some or with each other at night. This Board is a GREAT way to make friends (in real life, too!) and to let off steam when planning your wedding. I'll try to chat at night more when I can. Now that I have a wireless laptop, it is easy for me to do. Nice chatting with you ladies! Hopefully you can go to the GTG that is being planned.

    I'm new too, but can't Knot much during the day... being a nurse seems to get in the way of fun.  :(  Rest assured I'm here and reading, though!  I'll try to post more at night.
