Poll: How Much Were Your Invites?

How much did you spend on each individual invitations, including postage?

Re: Poll: How Much Were Your Invites?

  • I ended up spending a smidge over $2, which is more than I wanted but it was so nice to have them done.

  • I am WAY into all the papergoods for weddings.  Obsessed.  So, I'm ok with the price on ours.  They'll be just under $3 each (incl. postage) when finished, unless something weird happens.

  • Ours were $1 each.  I was very happy with the price.
  • I haven't ordered the paper & pocketfolds yet, but I have priced them at paperandmore.  I can do 100 invites for around $2.04 each including postage.  This is for metallic blue pocketfolds, invitation and 3 inserts so far and they will precut my paper to fit my pockets.  I know I don't have the patience to do that, plus its only and extra $5 per pack of paper.  I thought I needed about 150 invotes, but I think I can get away with 100, hopfully.  If I need between 100 and 150 then the cost actually goes down per invite, $1.81 per invite, since the paper cuts will be giving me at least 200 cuts per pack.

  • The ones I'm looking at on etsy are $4, including envelope, response card and reception card. That's pretty much the highest I'll go. It's a splurge, but if I DIY the other paper goods, it will make up for it.

  • $4.50/ea for custom invites before postage but that included all printing, envelopes, etc.
  • 50 cents each for 150 with envelopes.
  • .55 each for invites with envelopes and response cards and postage..diy from walmart and big lots!!
  • Ours are $0.37 each - we found them on sale at Michaels, used coupons, and only ended up spending $45 for 120 invites!  Considering we're splurging on other things (like the tent liner) we were thrilled to find such a deal.

  • We spend about 1.25.  I didn't want to go to extravagant because 1) we sent out like 260 invitations and 2) people throw them away after the wedding.  I wanted it to look nice for memories but not over the top.  There were some other things that were more important to spend the money on like the band and reception site.
  • @fairy_diva-----Where are you getting the pocketfold invites for $3 at?
  • Just about $1.00 each, including postage.  Maybe a smidge over, but I haven't actually mailed mine yet.  Michael's coupons were a life saver!

I keep you with me in my heart, you make it easier when life gets hard.
  • About $20 each, I am doing custom invites, thermography but i only need 40
  • $20 each... and we sent 140 of them.  Huge splurge but they were absolutely stunning!!
  • Where are you guys finding invites for under 2.00 each? I'm getting quoted anywhere from 6-10 each in the Chicagoland area!!
  • Ours were $1.70 for 150 invitations, envelopes, and response cards, and postage.

We got them at 123print.com and they came in two days later without having to pay extra shipping. Everything little thing on them was customizable. I love them and I can't believe we got them so cheap.

You can easily stay under $2 if you buy a kit at Michael's or Target and DIY.

We spent about $3 each, but postage was another $1 for invite and RSVP.
  • $18 each not including postage. Splurge but they are fantastic. The places we looked into here in NYC were all very similar unfortunately.
  • $0.08 each, plus postage = .50c each :-D
  • We only have 80 invitations to send out and we spent $40 dollars for the DIY package.  This includes postage and ink.
  • thank you! i thought i was crazy for a second. i designed my own and it seems to be costing me more to have the printing done than just buying them, but i am a designer and i had my heart set on making my own. i am spending 400 for the whole package.
  • i would love to see them!
  • Mine will wind up being about $9.50 apiece. They're so cool and original though... SO worth the price!
  • I spent about a $1.00 but I figured out how to save a little. I found invitations at Michaels Craft store that i LOVED. So each week when the newspaper came out i clipped the 40% off coupon out. It took me a few weeks but i saved soooo much doing it that way. I did the same thing for programs and escort cards.
  • Under $2.00 each - with postage, around 2.50.

Cards and Pockets - so they are a custom/DIY hybrid.  I'm absolutely THRILLED with them!

  • I custom designed my cousin's wedding invitations as part of their wedding gift. She decided to go with pocketfolds, and I was able to find them online for .99 a piece. We assembled them ourselves. Just paying for ALL materials (paper, printing, rhinestones, ribbon, envelopes) we came to $2.09 for each 5"x7" pocketfold set (including matting and three inserts) before postage.
  • The ones that I am oggling are 6.75 each, and that is if I assemble them myself. But, they are very pretty. I'm not sure I am actually going to spend that much on invites, since we roughly need 150 of them, but I am really picky about this for some reason.

I am very curious about the ladies who spent $15-20 per invite, as to what they looked like. I imagine they are all stunning, but I personally couldn't spend that much because we have so many.

  • Cuki and Squirrly, I love both of your invites.

Squirrly, I am very jealous that you did all of that DIY, I couldn;t and I like yours alot.
