Help with return address wording

Hi everyone. I received my save the dates today and I am in the process of buying a fancy return address stamp. One that will also be used for the invitations. My question is, how do I word the name? For example do I just put my to be last name "messina" since I am not yet a mrs. I don't want to put " katelyn and Salvatore Messina" again because I do not yet carry that name. In this case do I use both our names? So conflicted. Any help would be wonderful!!

Re: Help with return address wording

  • Will you be living at this address after you're married?  If that's the case, I wouldn't put any name and just the address so that you could reuse the stamp post-wedding:

    1234 Apple Street
    Chicago, Illinois 12345

(note that if you're going to use for wedding, you should spell out all abbreviations including state name)

Otherwise, if this is just for wedding related items, you could put both of your last names (which I'd remove from your OP for internet safety), followed by wedding

    Smith/Johnson Wedding
    1234 Apple Street
    Chicago, Illinois 12345

  • Or you could just do:

    John Smith
    Jane Doe
    1234 Anyroad
    Anytown, State Zip
    Lizzie
  • First, edit your OP and remove your name.

Second, his name is not yet your name, so don't use it. Both of Hz's examples are good choices.
  • We live together and just put our first names followed by the address no last names for either of us

  • We also did just our first names and address
