Addressing - Am I overthinking this?

Ok, I have two situations where I'm not sure the proper way to address invites.

#1:  My cousin and her fiance are getting married two weeks before I am.  My cousin will live at home until after they are married.  Of course, I will be inviting cousin, aunt, uncle, other cousin, and of course cousin's fiance.  So, how do I address the invite, as they are all adults and cousin's fiance does not live with them?

#2:  A good friend and her fiance are getting married 1 month before I am.  They are currently living together.  How do I address their invite, as they will not be married when I send the invites, but WILL be married when/if they attend the wedding?

Thanks!

  • Cousin gets her own invitation if she's over 18. You can either include her FI on the inner envelope or send him his own invitation, depending on how well you know him.

Your friend and her FI should be addressed like this:

    Friend Lastname
    FI Lastname
    address
    city, state, ZIP

Use her maiden name (if she's changing) because that's what she will be when you send the invite. Use separate lines because they are currently unmarried.

  • Oh gosh!  Anyone over 18 gets their own invite?  That means I'll be sending up to 5 invites to 1 address, in some cases!  Good grief!  There goes my invitation budget!  lol  I really had no idea.  Ugh!
