Invitation to Military

Hello everyone. I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to go about inviting one of my fiance's cousins.

He is in the army, and currently is stationed in California. He'll be there for maybe one more month. Possibly two. After that he's shipping out to Iraq for at least two years as far as he knows at this point. Obviously he won't be able to attend the wedding. We still want him to know that we are thinking of him and that we'd like him to be there.

I just don't know what to do.

Do we send him an invitation? And if so where? Should we just save him one for when he comes back? Is that totally silly?

Oh, yeah we aren't sending invitations for quite some time. We're sending our STD's in a couple of weeks so I'm getting all of that together. I like the idea of adding a note and a care package. I know he'd love that!

Yeah, I thought two years was really long too. I think he may just be telling his mother that so if he gets assigned another year while there she won't be disappointed. That's happened to a lot of his friends recently. And, since all of our information is pretty much coming from her that's what I know.

    Thanks for the help!
