Wedding Invitations & Paper

Wording- pleased vs request/divorced parents...kind of long, sorry

My parents are divorced.  So far through these boards, it looks like it's supposed to go like this:

One parent
Other parent
Request your presence at the marriage of their daughter
Me
to
FI
Son of Mr. and Mrs. FI's last name

Which parent goes first?  I thought the dad was supposed to go first, but I'm a little confused.  My dad just got a job after unemployment for 2 years, so my mom is the one who is mostly helping me out...but she's helping me through child support $$.
NOTE- I did not ask anyone for help.  Both parents said they want to contribute; my mom wants to pay for half of my dress, invites, and the photographer.  So, I don't know who to put first.

Secondly, is it okay to put:

Parent
Other parent
and
Mr. and Mrs. FI's last name
are pleased to announce the marriage of their children
Our names

I think "pleased to announce the marriage" makes it sound like we already got married, but FI doesn't like idea of using "request" at all.

TIA for your input.
