So maybe this is a stupid question but for the place cards how do you print them? Or write them yourself? would not be good with my handwriting...

You can buy placecard packs at AC Moore/Michael, etc and they come with trial sheets to adjust your printer settings as well as a website that has the template for you to type directly on to the placecard and print.
