Wedding Invitations & Paper

HELP - Navy Blue Gingham Stationary

I have already ordered my wedding invitations, but I am looking for RSVP cards and inclosure cards. My wedding invitations are square with a navy blue stripe around the border and I was hoping to find RSVP and inclosure cards with navy blue gingham incorporated. Then I was hoping to wrap all peices in twine.

BUT, I cant find anything with navy blue gingham. Does anyone have any suggestions?!

  • Have you looked on Etsy? Find a good designer and he/she can probably custom create what you are looking for.

  • Ditto Etsy.
Otherwise you could order some RSVP cards and inclosure cards that are on plain white card from somewhere like vistaprint and then get some navy ginham print paper from on of the craft stores to back them on to? Or Vistaprint let you upload designs so if you can put something together that you like on the computer they could print it for you.
    Sounds really pretty! Good luck!
  • I agree with Erin Nov11..........check out local craft stores for navy gingham scrapbooking papers. You may have to buy an entire book of them, or by the sheet. You could print what you want on a plain white card, then cut the gingham paper to fit behind the card for your border.

An alternative could be to use plain white cards, and buy navy blue gingham ribbon for your wrapping around all the cards. I know I've probably seen the ribbon more often than the papers.

    Good luck.
  • I just answered another Knottie about plaid, and it made me think of your question.

IF you have a color printer at home, and are comfortable with Microsoft excel (you may have to play with it), you can make your own gingham by using the "fill in color" option in excel. For example, you would make a very large cell in the middle of your document, then along the edges make rows and columns that are filled in with navy blue. You are basically creating your own "gingham" by making the cells that color. It might look more like a navy & white "check" than gingham, but if you can get the patter down, you'd be able to figure it out.

Not sure I'm explaining it properly. I work with excel all the time, and this might be a way to get what you want without the fuss of finding papers, etc.

Good luck. PM me if you need more explanation.
  • I suggest trying etsy.com since all the sellers there are used to making/creating custom orders at a reasonable cost.

    hope this helps. Sarah :)
