Invitation wording when we have a child together

I've been doing some research online, and I can only find invitation wording help for second marriages where children are included in the invitation. We have a young child together, and we're thinking about having him host on the invite (since we are hosting ourselves). Do you think this is a good idea?
Son's Name
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of his parents......
ect.....

It's obvious that he can't pay for the wedding because he's not even 2!

Thanks!

Re: Invitation wording when we have a child together

  • I don't think you should have your child host the wedding. I would not mention the child on the invite and I especially would not say the marriage of his parents.
  • I concur with everyone else.  He properly belongs in the program, but not on the invitation.
